LOCATION: The site of the former "DELTA QUEEN" was built and opened in 1969. Located at the intersection of a Highway and a highly traveled county road. It's across the street from a township fire department and a sports complex. The complex has 8 baseball diamonds which are home to the Delta Little League baseball program (http://deltalittleleague.org/) T-Ball, Coaches Pitch, Minor and Major and Babe Ruth teams participated in a total of 172 games in 2012 from April to June. It was also the site of many girls’ softball games. The complex serves the Metro Football League on 4 football fields in late summer and fall. There is a popular elementary school less than a block away.
There is 3.67 acres in total. The Ice Cream shop is 1,500 square foot with inside seating for approximately 30 customers, the patio approximately another 20. The block building has 2 walk up windows on the patio, 1 drive through window, 2 walk in doors, 2 customer restrooms. The diner kitchen is equipped with a walk in cooler, 2 eight well hand dip ice cream cabinets, a sandwich condiment counter, gas double fryer, Stainless Steel Flip Top Ice Cream Dipping Cabinet with Sundae Topping Rail, 2 stainless steel work tables with under shelves, 3 bowl stainless steel wash sink, small hand sink, mop sink, tall pan rack, 2 chest freezers, stainless refrigerated milk dispenser, service counter, booths and various other small equipment. 2 brand new commercial quality air handlers were installed in July 2012 which handles the heating and cooling of the building.
Outside the Ice Cream shop is approx. 20 paved parking spots between the building and the batting cages. There is also a small wood storage barn. The batting cages (were added years later) hold 4 Iron Mike Batting Machines with coin vending operation and lights for night play.
